Wor-Wic Community College is inviting the public to a workshop called “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging” given by Monifa Drayton on Thursday, Jan. 28. The Zoom event will open at 6 p.m., with the program beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m.
After 39 years of dedicated service as a member of the board of trustees of Wor-Wic Community College, William H. Kerbin of Pocomoke City recently retired from the board.

Paul G. Suplee, associate professor of culinary arts at Wor-Wic Community College, was recently awarded the American Culinary Federation’s (ACF) Presidential Medallion for the second time, in recognition of the culmination of his work and success in Wor-Wic’s culinary arts program and in the industry. He was one of 24 chefs in the country selected for the award. Suplee also won the medallion in 2008.
Wor-Wic Community College is inviting prospective students and their families to learn more about the college’s online degree and career training programs on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m., via Zoom.
In conjunction with the introduction of new teaching modalities due to the coronavirus pandemic, Wor-Wic Community College introduced a variety of new technology enhancements to create new virtual experiences, increase interactive learning and enable classroom activities to be recorded and/or livestreamed.
Wor-Wic Community College is currently accepting registrations for credit classes that are being offered during the spring term, which begins on Friday, Jan. 22. Early registration is encouraged for the best selection of classes. The payment deadline is Thursday, Dec. 3.
