The Esports Club, led by advisors Kelly Carey and Jimi Close, offers students a dynamic platform to engage in competitive gaming. The club provides a space for students to connect and showcase their gaming abilities. By cultivating an enjoyable and social atmosphere for those passionate about the world of esports, the Esports Club fosters an engaging environment for students interested in competitive gaming, complete with access to a well-equipped gaming room featuring modern consoles and accessories.
Esports offers a ton of benefits to help set students up for success. Students develop skills like teamwork, communication and strategic thinking while playing their favorite games. Esports creates a sense of community and belonging, where students can connect and collaborate with their peers. The competitive nature of esports also sharpens problem-solving abilities and mental endurance, preparing students for challenges they might face down the road. Esports also offers exciting career opportunities in game design, marketing, and event management.
