Types of Financial Aid

Wor-Wic offers many financial aid options. Learn how to apply for what you need to fund your education.

There are many options to help you fund your education. Applying for funding may take a little bit of time and effort, but our financial aid office is here to help you navigate the process. Remember that all options for financial aid start with completion of the FAFSA. For more information on how to complete it, visit our Financial Aid & Scholarships page. Many Maryland state grants and scholarships require the FAFSA, but some also require you to complete a separate application through the Maryland Higher Education Commission on MDCAPS. More information on state grants and scholarships is below. Want to work at Wor-Wic to help fund your education? If your eligible, the federal work-study program may provide you financial assistance for working with us during the school year. It starts by completing the FAFSA, and please let Lori Smoot, director of career services, at 410-334-2898 or lsmoot@worwic.edu know you are interested. Finally, we have our own scholarships provided by local donors and the Wor-Wic Community College Foundation. Many of our scholarships require the FAFSA . Complete our scholarship application to be considered for institutional scholarships. Explore the types of aid we offer below, and contact our financial aid office for assistance.
