The continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College is offering free training classes for current certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to advance their careers. Area residents have until Friday, March 13, to register for the American College Testing (ACT) examination, which is being offered by Wor-Wic Community College on Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 a.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
A lecture and demonstration of traditional and contemporary expressions of West African music, dance and an oral history will be given by Amadou Kouyate, on Thursday, March 19, at 5 p.m., in Room 302 of the Hazel Center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.
