Wor-Wic Community College is inviting prospective students and their families to learn more about the college’s online degree and career training programs on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m., via Zoom.
In conjunction with the introduction of new teaching modalities due to the coronavirus pandemic, Wor-Wic Community College introduced a variety of new technology enhancements to create new virtual experiences, increase interactive learning and enable classroom activities to be recorded and/or livestreamed.
Wor-Wic Community College is currently accepting registrations for credit classes that are being offered during the spring term, which begins on Friday, Jan. 22. Early registration is encouraged for the best selection of classes. The payment deadline is Thursday, Dec. 3.
The board of trustees at Wor-Wic Community College recently recognized the recipients of scholarships awarded to local high school graduates.
Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Miranda Canter of Fruitland as a part-time academic advisor.
Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Anne E. Bergen-Aurand of Salisbury as a part-time academic advisor.
Wor-Wic Community College graduated nine radiologic technology students in May and 100% of them passed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam on their first attempt. The first-time pass rate national average is 89%.
Ashley Desjardins Dagen of Salisbury was not a traditional student when she entered the occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program at Wor-Wic. She already had a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and was almost 30 years old when she decided to become a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA).
Mathew Boland of Ocean City graduated from Wor-Wic in May with his associate of applied science degree in radiologic technology. He was able to complete just enough clinical hours in the spring before sites closed to students due to the pandemic.
