In celebration of Irish-American heritage month, Mike and the Fellow Travelers (Mike O’Loughlin, Dave Kohut, Meri Holden and Brad Stevens) will perform “An Evening of Irish Music” on Friday, March 27, at 6 p.m., on the first floor of the Hazel Center at Wor-Wic Community College.
Julia Poole of Delmar, Md., had read about the free welding training from the Wor-Wic course schedules she received in the mail. One day, she was telling a friend he should sign up for the training when she thought, “Why don’t I apply for this?”

Joshua Watts of Salisbury became interested in Wor-Wic when he toured the then newly-built Allied Health Building (now Shockley Hall) during a 10th grade field trip. “I loved it!” he said. “Then, when I was a senior in high school, my best friend, Teddy, started the nursing program at Wor-Wic and told me that I should give it a try. I applied to Wor-Wic and when I learned that I received a board of trustees scholarship, my decision was made.”

Twenty law enforcement officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Kent, Harford, Calvert and Washington counties graduated in the 83rd entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College at the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
