You will learn how to draw blood and collect biological specimens for tests, match laboratory forms to specimen tubes, draw blood from veins and capillaries, dispose of medical waste and clean medical instruments and equipment for use.
There are several requirements for those interested in registering for phlebotomy technician courses, including a drug screen, background check, medical clearance, placement testing and attending an information session.
