Twenty-two Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Bus driver training orientation to be held April 14

The continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College is offering a new commercial bus driver training course that begins with a mandatory orientation on Monday, April 14, at 11 a.m., in Room 103C of the Workforce Development Center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Jail and correctional officers graduate

Twenty-seven jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Caroline and Talbot counties graduated in the 90th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Irish-American heritage presentation to be held April 14

In celebration of Irish-American heritage month, a free presentation called “Surviving Andersonville: An Irishman’s Recollectionof the Civil War’s Most Notorious Camp” will be given by David Ranzan, Salisbury University archivist and librarian,on Monday, April 14, at 7 p.m., in Room 302 of the Hazel Center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Summer program for children to be held at Wor-Wic

The on-campus child development center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury is accepting registrations now through May 9 for Camp Jordan, a summer day camp program for children from five through 12 years old that runs from June 16 through Aug. 22.

Annual Wor-Wic golf tournament to be held June 6

Wor-Wic Community College will hold its 13th annual golf tournament on Friday, June 6, at Wor-Wic’s Ocean Resorts Golf Club in Berlin. Registration begins at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Dinner and awards will be held at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit Wor-Wic’s child development center.
