Wor-Wic Graduates Listed

The following 151 students completed their program requirements to graduate with a certificate of proficiency (CT), associate of applied science (AAS), associate of science (AS) or associate of arts (AA) degree from Wor-Wic Community College this past summer.

Child Care Food Course to be Held on Nov. 10

Child care providers can learn how to plan everyday meal and snack menus using concepts of healthy eating and appropriate serving sizes, as well as review regulations for food storage and sanitation, by taking “Food Safety and Healthy Living in Child Care.”

Scrabble tournament to be held Nov. 12

A scrabble tournament will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 p.m., in the Student Center at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Reader’s Theater to be Held Oct. 16 and 17

The public is invited to a reader’s theater featuring the play, “Grace and Glorie,” written by Tom Ziegler, on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Pastry Cooking Course Begins Nov. 9

Learn to create classical desserts like crème broulé, crostadas, tortes and Madeleines by taking “Elegant and Professional Pastries.”

Real Estate Courses to be Held Nov. 8

Developers, appraisers, bankers, property managers and real estate agents can learn how to provide helpful information and solutions to clients by taking courses being offered back-to-back by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Monday, Nov. 8, at the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce.

Nov. 5 is ACT Deadline

Area residents have until Friday, Nov. 5, to register for the American College Testing (ACT) examination, which is being offered by Wor-Wic Community College on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 7:30 a.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Free Sustainable Living Event to be Held Oct. 23

The public is invited to attend a free “green” event called “Community Education on Sustainable Living” on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Workforce Development Center (WDC) at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m.
