Wor-Wic Community College is inviting the public to a free virtual reading with Ishmael Reed on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m., via Zoom.
A novelist, playwright, poet, editor and lyricist, Reed is the author of more than 30 books, including “Conjure,” a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and nominated for the National Book Award, “New and Collected Poems 1964-2007,” which was named one of the best books of poetry of the year by The New York Times and won the California Gold Medal in Poetry, and his most recent book titled “The Terrible Fours.” A recipient of the MacArthur Foundation "genius" fellowship, Reed is a distinguished professor in the writing and literature program at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco.
