Allison Joseph poetry reading

In honor of African American history month, Wor-Wic Community College is hosting a poetry reading with Allison Joseph on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m., via Zoom.

Her most recent books are “Confessions of a Barefaced Woman,” winner of the 2019 International Book Award for poetry, as well as “Smart Pretender” and “The Last Human Heart.” Her next published collection is called “Lexicon.”

Joseph is a professor of English at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She serves as poetry editor of the Crab Orchard Review and is the founder of Writers In Common, a writing conference for writers of all ages and experience levels.
