Promise scholarship information session

An information session for anyone interested in the Maryland Community College Promise Scholarship will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 10 a.m., in Fulton-Owen Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Rt. 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

High school students who graduated in 2019 or who will graduate in 2020 are invited to attend with their parents. Eligible students include those who enroll within two years of high school graduation or completion of a GED; have a high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.3 on a 4.0 scale; enroll full time with at least 12 credits per term in a credit certificate or associate degree program; are eligible for in-state tuition; have not earned a bachelor’s degree or an associate degree; and have an annual adjusted gross income of not more than $100,000 for those who are single or living in a single-parent household or $150,000 for those who are married or living in a two-parent household.
