Twenty-one law enforcement officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot and Queen Anne’s counties graduated in the 80th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College at the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall at the college campus, featured a commencement address by Arnold R. Downing, chief of the Berlin Police Department.

John C. Moses, director of criminal justice at Wor-Wic, and Donald L. Rollyson Jr., assistant director of the ESCJA, presided at the ceremony. Awards of certification and excellence were presented by agency representatives along with Albert Liebno, deputy director at the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions in Woodstock, Md. Officer Jonah A. Long of the Salisbury Police Department was the class speaker. Closing remarks were made by Liebno.

Gilmore III of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, Luke E. Ashley and Jacob I. Lutz of the Salisbury University Police Department, Kevin P. Lloyd of the Berlin Police Department, Michael A. Hamblin of the Ocean City Police Department, Austin A. McGee of the Pocomoke City Police Department, Heath A. Cowger of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, Nicholas P. Fleming of the Princess Anne Police Department, Kayla A. Corbin, Alexander N. Ortiz and Mariah J. Utz of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department, Edward J. Hults Jr. and Justin K. Jackson of the Cambridge Police Department, Dustin T. Schulz of the Easton Police Department, and James A. Bradley and Michael A. Iman of the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
