In celebration of African-American history month, Dr. Clara Small, Salisbury University (SU) history professor emeritus, and Dr. Stephen Gehnrich, SU professor of biological sciences, will present “African Americans in Times of War” on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.
Dr. Small will discuss the Civil War with an emphasis on African-American soldiers from Worcester and Dorchester counties.
Dr. Gehnrich will discuss African-American soldiers during World War I, with a focus on those from the Eastern Shore.
