Wor-Wic Community College recently held its 17th annual golf tournament at the college’s Ocean Resorts Golf Club in Berlin. Proceeds from the tournament totaling $38,000 will be used to benefit the college’s on-campus child development center.

This year’s top team for low gross score was the Barr Enterprises team of Michael Sullivan, Rich Barr, Eric Brubaker and Phil Fenstermaker, followed by the Union Bank & Trust team of Scott Schreiber, Mike Marshall, Henry Hall and Spencer Byrd. Third place went to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center team of Roger Follebout, Randy Hockenbrock, Eddie Downes and Scott Phillips.

The top team with the lowest net score was the Hebron Savings Bank team of Henry Tilman, Harry Gemmell, Evan Smith and Allan Dodd, followed by the Wilfre Company team of Tony Pierson, Martin Harrison, Ray Somers and Andrew Haldeman. Third place in net score went to the Gillis Gilkerson team of Dwight Miller, Tyler Barnes, Colby Bounds and Bob Hussey.

Longest drive winners were Andrea Berstler and Ed Adkins. Winner of the putting contest was Bill Chambers. Closest to the pin prizes were awarded to Evan Smith, Dennis Weller, Kevin Hayes and Cammy Tyson.
