Twenty jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Talbot and Caroline counties graduated in the 99th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Wicomico County Councilman Joe Holloway.

Donald L. Rollyson Jr., assistant director of the ESCJA, and Carl L. Crumbacker Sr., ESCJA coordinator, presided at the ceremony. Chaplain Matthew E. Phillips of the Eastern Correctional Institution was the class speaker.

In addition to Phillips, graduates included Robert D. Cropper, Jerrica D. Cuffee, Ashad W. Duncan, Lakeya S. Jones, Antionne M. Pugh and Andrea M. Russell from the Wicomico County Department of Corrections, Angela J. Morris and Teron C. Tyre of the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center, Catherine P. Abrams, Tyrone Bowman, Tristan S. Handy, Wendell S. Hitch, Depre D. Maycock Sr., Kevin R. Teves and Jeffery L. White of the Eastern Correctional Institution, Bryan K. Brooks and Vernon M. Cephas of the Talbot County Department of Corrections and Jeremie D. Hook and Ky-Asia N. Pinkett of the Caroline County Department of Corrections.
