Ten jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester and Caroline counties graduated in the 97th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Ruth Colbourne, warden of the Caroline County Department of Corrections.

Donald Rollyson Jr., assistant director of the ESCJA, and Carl L. Crumbacker Sr., ESCJA coordinator, presided at the ceremony. Tashana A. Phillips of the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center was the class speaker.

In addition to Phillips, graduates included Erika L. Turner from the Wicomico County Department of Corrections, Michael R. O’Flynn of the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center, Daniel H. Bromley of the Eastern Correctional Institution, Tyesha N. Dennis and Lisa Y. Stacey of the Somerset County Detention Center, Rhyheem L. Johnson and Adam A. Parks of the Dorchester County Department of Corrections, and Natalie A. DeWitt and Cheryl E. Hunt of the Caroline County Department of Corrections.
