Dr. Clara Small presentation on Feb. 11

In celebration of African-American history month, Dr. Clara Small will read from and lead a discussion on her book, “Compass Points: Profiles and Biographies of African Americans from the Delmarva Peninsula,” followed by a book signing, on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m., in Room 302 of the Hazel Center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Small is a retired professor of history at Salisbury University. Her other works are “A reality check: Brief biographies of African-Americans on Delmarva” and “Men of Color, to Arms! Manumitted Slaves and Free Blacks from the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland Who Served in the Civil War,” co-authored with Rev. David Briddell.
