Thirty-four Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
The new chapter members include Talane J. Bowne, Meaghan E. Conley, Pamela M. Crockett, Kayla Ennis, Jason Hawkins, Jessica Howell, Tara Kearns, Allison Lambert, Stephanie A. Lecates, Meghan V. Marsiglia, Donna D. Meyer, Kate Parkinson, Marie Astride Paul Louissaint, John Rhodes, Taneisha D. Richards, Linda F. Steele, Arielle Toulotte and Brittany L. Williams of Salisbury, Elizabeth Graisbery Dale and Shayna Smith of Delmar, Md., Mariah Lynn Price of Fruitland, Jourdan T. Diskin and Robert Hutton of Parsonsburg, Chastity M. Chronister and Alexander M. Valdes of Pittsville, Allison Anders, Michael G. Jones and Keeley Marks of Berlin, Katie Florich, Brian T. Ford, Catherine Hunter and William Villiard of Ocean City, Lewis M. Alexander of Pocomoke City and Kathleen Maloney of Westover.
Advisors of the chapter include Dr. Lynn M. Derickson, associate professor of nursing, Burma R. Freeman, assistant professor of physical science, Terry Thompson, professor of biological science, Jennifer L. Tusing, assistant professor of Spanish, and Dr. Coleen M. Weil, professor of nursing.
Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
