Ojie-Ahamiojie joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed George Ojie-Ahamiojie of Salisbury as department head and associate professor of hotel-motel-restaurant management.

Before coming to Wor-Wic, he was a business instructor at American Public University in Charles Town, W.V. He also taught at Rasmussen College and was an associate campus dean at Strayer University, both in Maitland, Fla. Ojie-Ahamiojie was also an instructor/restaurant manager at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Orlando, Fla.

In addition to 15 years of teaching and administrative experience in higher education, Ojie-Ahamiojie has eight years of experience as a guest service manager at the Walt Disney World Resort.

He received his bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Houston in Texas, his master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix in Orlando, Fla., and his doctoral degree in educational leadership from Argosy University in Sarasota, Fla.
