Folk Heroes to perform on March 14

In celebration of Irish-American heritage month, the Folk Heroes will give a free Irish music performance on Friday, March 14, from 6 to 9 p.m., on the first floor of the Hazel Center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

The quartet (Salisbury attorney Robin Cockey on violin and bass vocals, Salisbury University political science professor Dr. Michael O’Loughlin on guitar and tenor vocals, Princess Anne physician Dr. Charles Stegman on guitar and banjo and “utility player” Mickey Justice on multiple instruments and harmony vocals) plays a variety of music, including old and new American and Irish folk tunes.

Since 1994, Cockey, Stegman and O'Loughlin have performed as the Folk Heroes. Justice joined in 2007.

This event is sponsored by Wor-Wic’s cultural diversity committee.
