The public is invited to attend a free reading and reception featuring this year’s One Maryland One Book author Reyna Grande on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m., in Room 101 of Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
Grande will read from her memoir, “The Distance Between Us,” which received an International Latino Book Award in 2013. She is also the author of two novels, “Dancing with Butterflies” and “Across a Hundred Mountains,” which received the Premio Azatlán Literary Prize in 2006 and an American Book Award in 2007.
A book sale and signing, question and answer period and refreshments will follow the reading.
This event is sponsored by Wor-Wic’s honors program, arts club and student government association in partnership with the Wicomico Public Library, Worcester County Library, Somerset County Library and the Maryland Humanities Council.
