Thirty-six Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
The new chapter members include Stephanie Auguste, Carolyn Bowland, Jason L. Brumfield, Staci Cahall, Percy H. Fields Jr., Lauren Fanielle Pascarella, Jeffrey Proctor, Nhon My Tran, Holli J. Trice and Kellie Williams of Salisbury, Michael Cable and Nancy Faye Talbott of Delmar, Md., Sarah Elizabeth Jackson of Hebron, Nathaniel A. Valdes of Pittsville, Brooks Thomas Bowden and Stephanie Mae McMahon of Sharptown, Melissa I. Dove, Siavash Etminan, Evgeniya Grigoreva, Kirsten Arlene Hawkins and Brandon Solomon of Berlin, Brady Wayne Cooling of Bishopville, Kelly Marie Cowger of Newark, Hanna Kucuk and Deborah McAdams of Ocean City, Roberta Judd Thornton of Pocomoke City, Terry Fort of Whaleyville, Hannah Marie Atkins and Maghen Walterman of Crisfield, Colbi Swift of Marion Station, Kevin Bitkeu, Jenna Catherine Hands and Jasmine Turner of Princess Anne, Laura Beth Karch of Cambridge, Ashley L. Advisors of the chapter include Dr. Lynn M. Derickson, associate professor of nursing, Burma R. Freeman, assistant professor of physical science, Terry Thompson, associate professor of biological science, Jennifer L. Tusing, assistant professor of Spanish, and Dr. Coleen M. Weil, professor of nursing.
Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
