Fifty-nine Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Keri Bailey, Nicholas Dasher, Jennifer Deal, April Evans, Angela Ewell, Michael Goggins, Byron Green, Sade' Haywood, Rebecca Kiley, Sanghyuk Kim, Kali Krause, Maranda Mitchell, Sookkyung Park, Stephan Sacco, Janette Shivka, Mariah Trader, Shanequa Wallace and Julia White of Salisbury, Angela Bempong, Marina Collins, Mallory McIntyre and Dale Smothers of Delmar, Md., Vicky Barrow, Anna Link and Kendra Wiegand of Fruitland, Adrianne Bleeker and Robin Zimmerman of Hebron, Tyler Buchanan and Nicholas Kellaher of Parsonsburg, Jennifer Dennis of Pittsville, Catrina Case and Lindsey Nanez of Sharptown, Tiffany Biles, Courtney Dennis and Amelia McNamara of Willards, Caroline Anthony, Sarah Brissey, Tina Hedley, Renata Lovitt, Brittany Mumford and Jessica Shue of Berlin, Cody Forrest, Kiersten Gray and Conner Poole of Bishopville, Faye Dryden of Newark, Maryia Gooch of Ocean City, Kathryn Baylis and Ella Northam-Smith of Pocomoke City, Stephanie Dalli Cardillo and Latoya Purnell of Snow Hill, Aaron Dufrene and Noel Dufrene of Stockton, Ciara Merritt of Whaleyville, Katie Muir of Chance, Sean Luke Webster of Deal Island, Justin Wilson and Phillip Wooster of Marion Station, Jerome Jackson of Princess Anne and Terry Busic of East New Market.

Advisors of the chapter include Dr. Lynn M. Derickson, associate professor of nursing, Ryan Messatzzia, instructor of social science, Terry Thompson, associate professor of biological science, Jennifer L. Tusing, assistant professor of Spanish, and Dr. Coleen M. Weil, associate professor of nursing.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
