Free Disabilities Performance on Oct. 16

In recognition of national disability employment awareness month, a free performance called “Taking the ‘Dis’ Out of Disability” will be performed on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 7 to 8 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Written by Carlton Spitzer, this trilogy of monologues relates how people with disabilities defy perceptions. It focuses on the lives of people challenged by physical, mental and developmental disabilities. According to Dr. Dornell L. Woolford, chair of the cultural diversity committee at Wor-Wic, “the college looks forward to hosting the Hugh Gregory Gallagher Motivational Theater group in October in recognition of national disability employment awareness month.”

This event is sponsored by Wor-Wic’s cultural diversity committee.
