In celebration of Irish-American heritage month, the Folk Heroes will give a free Irish music performance on Friday, March 15, from 6 to 9 p.m., on the first floor of the Hazel Center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.
The quartet (Salisbury attorney Robin Cockey on fiddle, Salisbury University political science professor Dr. Michael O’Loughlin on guitar and vocals, Princess Anne physician Dr. Charles Stegman on guitar and banjo, and “utility player” Mickey Justice on multiple instruments and harmony vocals) plays a variety of music, including American and Irish folk tunes, old and new.
Since 1994, Cockey, Stegman and O'Loughlin have performed as the Folk Heroes. Justice joined in 2007.
This event is sponsored by Wor-Wic’s cultural diversity committee.
