Thirty-six Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The new chapter members include Ashley Brodell, Cora Elliott, Pierre Gore, Constance Hill, Brandon Hudson, Stephanie Jennings, Lakala Jones, Corey Kaloc and Mark Truitt of Salisbury, Theresa Davenport and David Pollitt of Delmar, Md., Mark Hess and Ann Marie Williamson of Parsonsburg, Patricia Vance of Pittsville, Kristi Staples of Nanticoke, Tiffany McMahon of Sharptown, Leanne Ferraro, Nancy Haines, Dawn Harlow, Irina Hatfield, Christine Keiper, Renee Raffensberger, Daria Sementsova and Shannon White of Berlin, Holly Melson and Jamie Shrewsbury of Bishopville, Silviya Gallo, Milko Madarac, Daria Martynova and Viktoriia Omelianchuk of Ocean City, Meigan Tidd of Snow Hill, Samuel Byrd and Kirk Knox of Pocomoke City, David Hearn of Princess Anne, and Tawsha Fisher and Kristen Welch of Westover.

Advisors of the chapter include Dr. Lynn M. Derickson, associate professor of nursing, Ryan Messatzzia, instructor of social science, Terry Thompson, associate professor of biological science, Jennifer L. Tusing, assistant professor of Spanish, and Dr. Coleen M. Weil, associate professor of nursing.

Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
