Eight employees recently retired from Wor-Wic Community College after many years of dedicated service.
Dr. Denise D. Marshall of Salisbury retired as department head and professor of nursing. Marshall began working at Wor-Wic in 1984 as an instructor of nursing. In 1992, she was promoted to the head of the nursing department. In tribute to her 28 years of service to Wor-Wic, Marshall was bestowed the honorary title of professor emeritus by the college’s board of trustees.
Jackie Molisani of Linkwood retired as an administrative associate in the nursing department after 33 years of service. Molisani started working in the nursing department at Wor-Wic in 1979.
Thomas R. Owens of Hebron retired as a night supervisor after 31 years of service. He began working at Wor-Wic in 1981 as a maintenance worker. He became the night supervisor in 2000.
Dr. Lucille A. Rudnick of Salisbury retired as professor of nursing. She started working as a part-time nursing instructor at Wor-Wic in 1979. In 1984, her position became full time. In tribute to her 33 years of service, Rudnick was bestowed the honorary title of professor emeritus by the college board of trustees.
Mark V. Rudnick of Salisbury retired as vice president for administrative services. In 1976, he began working as the business manager for Wor-Wic. In tribute to his 36 years of service, Rudnick was bestowed the honorary title of vice president emeritus by the college board of trustees.
Dione T. Shaw of Willards retired last summer as executive associate for the vice president for academic and student affairs. She started working as a secretary in student services in 1980 and held various positions across campus during her 31 years of service at the college.
Reid H. Sterrett Sr. of Ocean City retired last summer as part-time librarian after 12 years of service.
Lucille Townsend of Upper Hill retired last fall as a building attendant after 10 years of service.
