EMS Transition Course Begins March 24

Paramedics and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel interested in obtaining certified nursing assistant (CNA) training to learn basic nursing and personal care skills can benefit from taking “EMT to CNA Transition,” which is being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Saturdays, March 24 through May 19, and Sundays, May 13 and 20. Class times vary, so students must obtain a class schedule prior to registering by calling (410) 334-6780 or by picking up a copy in Room 103 of Henson Hall at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Paramedics and EMTs with current Maryland certification qualify for the Maryland Board of Nursing Registry as a CNA and qualify to take the geriatric nursing assistant (GNA) examination.
