The hotel-motel-restaurant management culinary arts program at Wor-Wic Community College was recently granted accreditation by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation’s Accrediting Commission.

“I want to congratulate Wor-Wic’s culinary arts program for its recent accreditation,” said Dr. Ray Hoy, president of Wor-Wic. “Since the program began in the fall of 2007, Dr. Scott D. Dahlberg and Ricardo H. Aragon have worked diligently to provide the excellent facility and curriculum that the culinary arts students enjoy.”

Wor-Wic offers a certificate of proficiency and associate of applied science degree options in culinary arts as part of the college’s longstanding hotel-motel-restaurant management program.

The culinary arts options provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for an entry-level position in the culinary industry. Students work in a modern teaching kitchen with commercial equipment preparing foods typically found in area restaurants. This program is closely aligned with the Delmarva chapter of the American Culinary Federation.

Wor-Wic’s hotel-motel-restaurant management department is a member of the National Restaurant Association, Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education, the Ocean City Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association and the Delmarva chapter of the American Culinary Federation.
