Salisbury Police Department Wins Law Enforcement Cup Challenge

The Salisbury Police Department team of Kevin Larkin, Danny Parsons and Paul Simon won the Wor-Wic Community College Foundation Law Enforcement Cup Challenge, held recently at the college campus in Salisbury.

“The Salisbury Police Department will keep and display the Law Enforcement Cup at their station throughout the year,” said Kelley Selph, Wor-Wic Foundation member and coordinator of the event. “Next year, they will have to defend their win against other agencies who challenge them.”

In the 5k race portion of the event, which was open to the public, the overall male winner was Chris Wisniewski of Salisbury with a time of 18:59. The overall female winner was Laurel Johnson of Chincoteague, Va., with a time of 22:47.

Runners ranged in age from eight to 62.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the students of Wor-Wic.
