Eleven law enforcement officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot and Kent counties graduated in the 66th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College at the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall at the college campus, featured a commencement address by Sheriff Reggie Mason of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office.
John C. Moses, associate director of the ESCJA at Wor-Wic, presided at the ceremony. Awards of certification and excellence were presented by Dennis Murphey, law enforcement training administrator from the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions in Woodstock, Md., and various agency representatives. John E. Williamson of the Easton Police Department was the class speaker. Closing remarks were made by Murphey.
In addition to Williamson, graduates included Darryl L. Myers of the Salisbury Police Department, Christopher M. Barrs, Shane R. Musgrave and Mark A. Powell of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, Gina K. Tyler of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department, Frank A. Schmidt of the Hurlock Police Department, Jason E. Dickerson and Devon C. Flaig of the Cambridge Police Department, and Tyler J. Baitsholts and Albert H. Piasecki Jr. of the Chestertown Police Department
