Fifty-five Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. The new chapter members include Johnsie Bailey-Barkley, Roketta Collins, Jonathan Conley, Maria Curtis, Christopher Davidson, William Dennis, Barbara Grant, Lois Haynie, Stacey Miller, Tony Olivis, Alexander Paciga, Christina Parent, Jennifer Pusey, Kelly Shaner, Lori Somers, James Staley and Zoraya Torres of Salisbury, Stephanie Fisher of Delmar, Md., Tami Brown and Darrell Hurley of Hebron, Taylor Marvel and Roxie Shortt-Lewis of Parsonsburg, Tyler Jarmon of Pittsville, Sonora Goslee of Mardela Springs, Brittany Nixon of Sharptown, Mark Bargar, Aaron Genter, Dana Kimble, Andrea Kroger, Nicole DeRita and Amy Redmond of Berlin, Deanne Michnick of Bishopville, Shaun Cox, Frederico Fernandes, Damir Gaynanov, Anton Ivanenko, Richard Korecky, Andrea Matrona, Samaher Omar, Brandie Plumb and Samantha Smith of Ocean City, Cheryl Fisher, Nichole Frey, Quang Hoang and Cindy Krystofiak of Pocomoke City, Megan Warren of Snow Hill, Colin Carroll and Barbara Haines of Princess Anne, Christopher Goldsborough of Crisfield, Noel Marshall of Marion Station, Michelle Malinger of Wenona, Jacqueline Lowe and Kimberly Malin of Westover, Kimberly Jackson of Cambridge and Graham West of Seaford, Del. Advisors of the chapter include Lynn M. Derickson, assistant professor of nursing, Dr. Denise D. Marshall, department head and professor of nursing, Terry Thompson, associate professor of biological science, Jennifer L. Tusing, instructor of Spanish, and Dr. Coleen M. Weil, associate professor of nursing. Phi Theta Kappa is a nationally-recognized honor society serving America’s two-year colleges. The Alpha Nu Omicron chapter was chartered at Wor-Wic in September of 1987.
