In celebration of women’s history month, Kate Campbell Stevenson will provide an artistic representation of three historical women during a free performance that will be held on Wednesday, March 17, at 7 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. During the performance, Stevenson will portray Rachel Carson, Bessie Coleman and Eleanor Roosevelt. Carson was a biologist, environmentalist and author of numerous works, including “The Sea Around Us” and “Silent Spring.” A civilian aviator, Coleman was the first black woman to receive a pilot license and the first American to hold an international pilot license. In addition to being the First Lady from 1933 to 1945, Roosevelt is known for being a human rights activist, speaker and author of “The Autobiography of Eleanor Roosevelt.” Stevenson has starred in more than 30 Broadway musicals, as well as in radio and television commercials.
