Developers, appraisers, bankers, property managers and real estate agents can learn more about fair housing laws, the impact of Maryland’s real estate legislation and ways to handle ethical dilemmas by taking courses being offered back-to-back by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Monday, May 10, at the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce.
“Fair Housing for Real Estate Professionals” will cover federal and Maryland fair housing laws and will meet from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
“Legislative Issues for Real Estate Agents and Brokers,” which will cover foreclosures, lead paint regulations, and residential property disclaimer and disclosure statements, will meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Ethics in Real Estate” will cover the real estate industry code of ethics, recognizing unethical situations, predatory lending and illegal flipping of properties, and will meet from 2 to 5 p.m.
