Reader’s Theater to be Held Oct. 16 and 17

The public is invited to a reader’s theater featuring the play, “Grace and Glorie,” written by Tom Ziegler, on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

The play is about the mutually-beneficial relationship between Grace, a feisty 90-year old cancer patient who checked herself out of the hospital and returned to die alone in her cottage in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and her volunteer hospice worker, Glorie, a Harvard M.B.A. graduate who recently moved to the rural mountains from New York.

Tickets, which are $10 ($8 for Wor-Wic students), are available at the door or in advance from the college bookstore at Wor-Wic. Proceeds benefit Wor-Wic’s Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and Coastal Hospice.

For more information, call the bookstore at Wor-Wic at (410) 543-4655.
