John Burkett, left, president of the Rotary Club of Salisbury, presents a $2,000 scholarship check to Annika Nichols of Delmar, Md., a general studies major at Wor-Wic Community College, as Fred Howard from Wor-Wic’s financial aid office looks on. The Rotary Club provides scholarship funds each year for Wicomico County students who exemplify the principles of the organization. The principles of Rotary are based on honesty, fairness, high ethical standards, and international and community service.
