Twenty-eight jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Somerset, Dorchester and Queen Anne’s counties graduated in the 78th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Warden Kathleen Green of the Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI).

Donald Rollyson Jr., an ESCJA instructor, presided at the ceremony. Awards of excellence were presented by agency representatives.

Graduates included Deniece A. Davis of the Wicomico County Department of Corrections, Edward L. Anderton, Eric D. Benton, Jody V. Caudell, Brian L. Cotton, Dana K. Dancy, Amma K. Debrah, Jeremy K. Fickenscher, Jason N. Hawkins, Richard T. Kato, Donna M. Kenney, Kathleen F. Maloney, Andrew G. Miller, James R. Nunn, Justin A. Oppel, Ryan P. Osterwalder, Shane L. Sales, Brent R. Sharp, Travis D. Shipman, Patrick R. Tolland, Nadira M. Tull, Samuel T. Warren and Anita G. Wiest of the ECI, George M. Hornung of the Maryland Correctional Enterprises, James B. Aswell III of the Somerset County Detention Center, David H. Lewis of the Dorchester County Detention Center, and Carl E. McLaughlin and Anthony B. Whyte Jr. of the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center.
