Louise L. Gulyas
Worcester County Commissioner Louise L. Gulyas will address the 2010 Wor-Wic Community College graduates at commencement on Wednesday, May 12, at 7 p.m., at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center.
Since being elected to the commission in 1998, Gulyas has served as vice president and president. She formerly owned the Bay Vista Apartments and the Sandy Bottom Inn in Ocean City.
Gulyas is the Worcester County liaison to Wor-Wic’s board of trustees and is also a board member of the Worcester County Commission on Aging.
She chairs the Ocean City Development Corporation Art Committee, the Ocean City Beautification Committee, the State Commission on Aging, the Tri-County Council Health Care Committee and MAC (Maintaining Active Citizens). She is also a member of the Ocean City Art League, Worcester County Arts Council, St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, the Worcester County Women’s Republican Club, Delmarva Republican Women’s Club and the GrayShore Committee Task Force.
Gulyas implemented the Winterfest of Lights in Ocean City and is a past chair of the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce and the Ocean City Downtown Association.
Gulyas lives in Ocean City. She has four grown children and five grandchildren.
