Work Experience

Current: Forensic Services Unit Supervisor – Ocean City Police Department
Supervise the work of crime scene technicians to include: using the appropriate methods for identification, documentation, processing, testing and the collection of evidence. Development of the Unit’s training manual and the Business Community Video Surveillance book (to quickly access all video in the community that may exist). Also, developed an evidence packaging book to assist patrol with packaging and submission questions. Developed a book containing procedures for the unit and assisted in the development of standard operating procedures.

Developed all training classes pertaining to Crime Scene Investigations and instructed: 40-hour Basic Crime Scene Investigations, 8-hour Basic Fingerprinting and Evidence Collection for Fire Marshals, 2-hour Basic Crime Scene-In Service for New Seasonal Police, 4-hour Citizen’s Police Academy, and multiple middle and high schools for fingerprinting.

Process crime scenes and conduct lab tests. Process all guns and conduct cell phone extractions. Assist the Fire Marshals and other agencies with crime scene processing, gun, cellphone and video processing. Prepares evidence for analysis to Bode and the MSP lab. Manages all digital evidence and prepares evidence for the States Attorney’s Office. Conducts research and orders new equipment and supplies for the unit.

May 2005 – July 2007: Crime Lab Technician II – Baltimore Police Department
Worked in the Mobile Crime Lab. Duties were to respond to crime scenes and identify, process and recover evidence related to a crime. Crime scenes consisted of; Burglaries, Robberies, Car Jacking’s, Home Invasions, Arsons, Sex Offenses, Serious Assault, Shootings, Homicides. Also served as a Intoximeter Operator and administered Breath Tests. Assisted in training with new technicians.

July 2004 – May 2005: Evidence Technician – Baltimore Police Department
Worked as a technician in the Serology/Trace lab. Duties included; researching and locating items of evidence in reference to cold case, sex offenses and homicides.

Community Service

Current: CERT – I am a member of the Ocean City Community Emergency Response Team

2015 – Current: Indian River High School Football booster club- I volunteer in the concession stands, organize and set up banquets and raise money

2015 – Current: Indian River High School Wrestling booster club- I volunteer in the concession stands, organize and set up banquets and raise money.

Presentations

I conduct training presentations to the Seasonal Police Academy, Crime Scene Technicians and outside Police agencies.
