Taught courses in curriculum theory, design, and development, as well as controversies in curriculum; Leadership, Diversity, & Societal Change, Intercultural Communication, and Philosophical Foundations of Education.

Dr. Burnside guided students in their doctoral research and served as Chairperson of the Graduate Studies Committee, and as a member of the Department of Education’s New Initiatives Review Panel. She has served on the Diversity Task force and the University Technology Committee.
