Wor-Wic Community College may send text messages (which includes Short Message Service (SMS) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages) to communicate with students, prospective students, alumni, employees, and other members of the college community who choose to opt in. Messages may include information such as important college updates, deadlines, reminders, event notifications, service announcements, support resources, emergency alerts, or other relevant communications. In some cases, messages may also be sent to parents or guardians when appropriate.
Subscribing to this service is not required to apply for admission, enroll, or participate in college programs or services. This service is intended to provide helpful and timely information through text messaging.
Wor-Wic Community College will not ask you to provide passwords, personally identifiable information, or other sensitive information through Short Message Service (SMS) messages. You should not send confidential information through text messages.
Wor-Wic Community College does not share your information with third parties. Mobile information you share with the college will remain confidential and will be used only by authorized college representatives for communication and service purposes. The college does not sell or distribute phone numbers to external organizations.
Individuals may opt in to receive Short Message Service (SMS) messages from Wor-Wic Community College by submitting a form, registering for a service or event, creating or updating an account in a college system, or otherwise providing consent to receive text communications from the college. Individuals may also opt in by contacting the appropriate college office or department.
Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. When you opt in to receive Short Message Service (SMS) messages, you are responsible for any carrier fees such as data plan charges, text messaging charges, tolls, out-of-area roaming, or other charges. Messaging frequency may vary depending on the type of communication or service you are subscribed to. Short Message Service (SMS) communications from Wor-Wic Community College may not be available through all mobile carriers.
If you wish to stop receiving text messages from Wor-Wic Community College, you may reply STOP to any message you receive. After you send the STOP request, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.
You may also contact the college office or department that sent the message to request removal from future text communications.
