The mathematics and science department at Wor-Wic Community College will hold a free pi-K event on Monday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Similar to a 5K, the pi-K celebrates the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter – 3.14 – by encouraging participants to walk 3.14 kilometers. Though it won’t be a perfect circle, walkers will enjoy a stroll around Wor-Wic’s campus, now in springtime bloom, with stations that explore the meaning and significance of pi. Finishers will receive a personal-sized pie.
To join the walk, stop by Room 103 of Henson Hall during the event hours to pick up a course map.
