In celebration of African-American history month, a free musical event called “Song Yet Sung: A Negro Spiritual Tribute” will be held on Monday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.
The tribute will include readings adapted from James McBride’s novel, “Song Yet Sung,” interwoven with traditional spiritual music performed by the Salisbury University (SU) music department with artistic direction from SU music faculty member John Wesley Wright.
The event is sponsored by Wor-Wic’s cultural diversity committee.
