In celebration of women’s history month, Kate Campbell Stevenson will provide an artistic representation of three historical women during a free performance that will be held on Wednesday, March 17, at 7 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. During the performance, Stevenson will portray Rachel Carson, Bessie Coleman and Eleanor Roosevelt. Carson was a biologist, environmentalist and author of numerous works, including “The Sea Around Us” and “Silent Spring.” A civilian aviator, Coleman was the first black woman to receive a pilot license and the first American to hold an international pilot license. In addition to being the First Lady from 1933 to 1945, Roosevelt is known for being a human rights activist, speaker and author of “The Autobiography of Eleanor Roosevelt.” Stevenson has starred in more than 30 Broadway musicals, as well as in radio and television commercials. She combines 25 years of professional experience in music, theater and education to create one-woman historical performances. For more information, call (410) 572-8711.
