The public is invited to attend a free “green” event called “Community Education on Sustainable Living” on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Workforce Development Center (WDC) at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m.
This event is designed to help businesses and individuals learn about eco-tourism, “green” building, sustainable food practices and small business opportunities. A boxed lunch will be provided.
Participants can choose to attend three breakout sessions. Breakout topics include “Small Business Resources for the Green Economy,” “Green Building: Building for the Future,” “Eco-tourism: A Local Tour Guide” and “Living off the Land: Sustainable Food Practices.”

Businesses interested in promoting their products or services can register as a vendor by contacting Kristen Bacon at kbacon@marylandcapital.org. The cost is $25 per space. Tables and chairs are provided.
