Lead Paint Training Offered at Wor-Wic

Lead paint training is being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College in November and December.

Learn how to perform lead paint inspections to verify satisfactory completion of work required in rental properties under the Maryland Lead Risk Reduction Standard, complete associated inspection reports and protocols and qualify to become a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sampling technician by taking “Lead Paint Visual Inspector Training,” which is being offered on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 29 and 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Learn how to prevent the risk of lead poisoning during renovation activities like sanding, cutting and demolition according to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules by taking “Lead Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting,” which is being offered on Thursday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Both classes will meet at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
