Developers, appraisers, bankers, property managers and real estate agents can benefit from taking one-day seminars being offered in December by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
“Fair Housing for Real Estate Professionals,” which is being offered on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., will cover federal and Maryland fair housing laws, including Housing and Urban Development advertising guidelines, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
Real estate legislation, including retention proceeds on construction contracts, lead paint regulation of residential rental property and timeframes regarding resale of condominium units, will be covered in a course called “2008-2010 Legislative Update,” which is being offered on Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.
