One-day Real Estate Seminars Offered in March

Real estate professionals can benefit from taking one-day seminars approved by the Maryland Real Estate Commission (MREC) that are being offered in March by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College.

Real estate professionals who do not conduct residential transactions can benefit from taking “MREC Agency – Commercial,” which is a new course being offered on Wednesday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Wor-Wic’s Ocean Resorts Golf Club (ORGC) in Berlin. The course will cover how common law affects duties to a principal, the definition of subagent, disclosed dual and undisclosed agency, remedies of breach, and obligations and termination of agency. This course meets the MREC agency requirement.

Real estate brokers, branch office managers and team leaders can learn more about broker supervision and how it applies to conducting business within the confines of the laws and agency relationships by taking “MREC Required Supervision Course,” which is being offered on Thursday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Wor-Wic’s ORGC. This course meets the MREC supervision requirement.

Real estate agents who practice in residential, commercial, investment, financing and property management can learn more about current Maryland laws relating to agency issues, including how to use adequate controls and guidance in order to conduct business within the confines of the laws and agency relationships, by taking “MREC Agency – Residential,” which is being offered on Thursday, March 22, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. This course meets the MREC agency requirement.
