Review the basics of math for manufacturing by taking “Math for Manufacturers,” which is a new course being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Wednesdays, Sept. 19 through Nov. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
This course will focus on measurement and basic mathematics skills by practicing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, fractions and decimal numbers.
Practice running projects and gain experience in a machining environment by taking the “CNC Applications Course,” a new course being offered on Wednesdays, Sept. 19 through Dec. 12, from 5 to 9 p.m., at Parkside High School in Salisbury.
This course will focus on CNC milling, turning and routing as well as practicing program writing, Mastercam design and Haas Control box program testing.
