Adobe Courses Offered this Fall

Anyone interested in learning more about using Adobe software products for digital imaging, video editing and desktop publishing can benefit by taking courses being offered this fall by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Learn to create Web animation, movie clips, animation tweens, symbols, and Frames and Keyframes by taking “Adobe Flash: Introduction,” which is being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Saturdays, Sept. 29 through Oct. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This course satisfies one of the core requirements for the continuing education certificate in website design.

Learn how to use the photo-editing functions, as well as the organizing and sharing capabilities of Photoshop Elements, by taking “Adobe Photoshop Elements for the Digital Photographer,” which is being offered on Tuesdays, Oct. 2-30, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Learn how to create and edit a short video, add transitions and video effects, and use storyboarding, clip placement and time remapping, by taking “Digital Video Editing Using Adobe Premier Pro,” which is a new course being offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, Oct. 17-29, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This course also covers how to incorporate other Adobe applications such as Photoshop and After Effects when editing video.

“Adobe Illustrator: Introduction” is being offered on Mondays, Oct. 22 through Nov. 12, from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m. This course covers how to combine text and graphics to create advertisements and fliers, design illustrations and special type effects, and prepare print documents or artwork for use on the Web. This course satisfies one of the core requirements for the continuing education certificate in computer graphics and desktop publishing.

Learn how to view, edit and manage digital photos and do post-production work using Adobe Lightroom’s step-by-step workflow by taking “Adobe Lightroom: Organizing and Developing Digital Images,” which is being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Tuesdays, Oct. 23 through Nov. 13, from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m. This course satisfies one of the elective requirements for the continuing education certificate in computer graphics and desktop publishing.
